I am pleased to place on record the fact that Mahendra Narayan Choudhury Balika Mahavidyalaya is the visionary dream of late Mahendra Narayan Choudhury who was a philanthropist, social activist concerned with the emancipation and enlightenment of women. The institution is committed towards uplifting his determined effort, social commitment, selfless service to community. Established in 1979, the institution has emerged as a leading centre for women education in Assam. Mahendra Narayan Choudhury Balika Mahavidyalaya is dedicated to all round development of female students. We believe that enlightenment and emancipation of women lead to the progress of a society as a whole. The efforts of the college fraternity and its stakeholders are amply rewarded in the form of A-Grade in the last NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) assessment in 2016.
At Mahendra Narayan Choudhury Balika Mahavidyalaya we emphasize on instilling confidence by promoting critical thinking that will help students to act and react in real life situations.Our chief emphasis is on all round personality development of the students. This is achieved by focusing on developing entrepreneurial skill, leadership quality, team spirit, communication and presentation skills and so on whereby students become well-equipped to take the plunge into the highly competitive world. Through out the year the College holds guest talk/lecture, seminars, workshops to acquaint students with the trends prevalentglobally. Moreover MOUs with other Universities and Government Institutions help us in pursuing our goal.
