Library Rules

1. The Library shall remain open to the readers from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM on all working days.
2. The issue counter will remain open from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM on all working days.
3. Every member must sign the Gate Register available at the entrance.
4. Users must produce their Library Card or Identity Card at the time of borrowing of books.
5. Fine will be imposed if the users don’t return books on time. A fine of Rs. 1.00 per day will be charged for each book kept beyond the due date.
6. Books lost, torn or defaced in anyway will have to be paid for by the borrowers.
7. Journals (unbound issues)/Dissertations/ Reports will not be issued from the library.
8. The library card is not transferable and its loss must immediately be reported to the library. User will be held responsible for misuse of his/her library card.
9. The loss of Library Card must be reported to the Librarian immediately. A fine of Rs. 25 will be charged for the loss of the card.
10. Anyone who violates the rules and regulations of the library would be liable to lose the privilege of Library Membership.
11. While entering the library, all personal belongings such as bags, umbrella, boxes, personal books, books not meant to be returned to the library etc. shall be deposited at the property shelf at their own risk.
12. The Librarian shall have power to refuse entry to any one infringing the rules & regulations of the library and will report to the Principal/Library Committee if the offence is serious in nature.
13. Any misuse of the Reader\'s ticket may lead to cancellation of privilege enjoyed by the members.
14. Shoes/Sandals must be kept at the outside rack to maintain cleanliness in the library.
